In this week’s episode, Jude chats with actor and singer Hansel Tan. A native of Singapore, Hansel’s acted in the US for sixteen years and his roles have taken him across the country from Broadway to summer stock. He’s had to do his share of appearances in The King and I and Miss Saigon productions, but talks about his conviction that it’s his responsibility to give authenticity to these roles. He’s performed in new plays at The Flea Theater and the Public Theater and returns to Singapore to perform in new work at W!LD RICE Theatre Company. He champions the work of Asian playwrights, choreographers and musicians.
